ATS-405, Full coverage AM/FM/ Shortwave world band receiver. Great AM - FM and SW Radio for the money!

An excellent new DSP enhanced receiver, to a timeless Sangean Classic. The ATS-405, is a modern update of the long selling ATS-404 receiver, now discontinued.

The world of shortwave listening, is a wonderful hobby, full of sounds from around the globe. The ATS-405, new revised shortwave radio from Sangean, is a full coverage, world band receiver, made specifically for low cost, yet full feature, full spectrum band. Perhaps the biggest feature of the ATS-405, is a full Digital Signal Processor (DSP) which enhances the audio spectrum of the band, and combines 2015 modern technology and modern filtering into a tiny package. Generally, receivers with DSP are over $100 more than the ATS-405, but Sangean packs this modern feature into this small portable receiver.

The Perfect Prepper Shortwave Radio!

The ATS-405, is produced for such a low cost, it makes it ideal to carry for camping, hunting or expedition trips, or, just to store it in a bug-out bag for emergency situations. The AM is very good, and FM is excellent. AM signals can be radically enhanced with the use of RadioLabs AM Antenna, which works inductively, no hardwires needed.

RadioLabs Chief Engineer and CEO has a very long history with Sangean Radio Company. He has travelled to their factory and their main office over 20 times, rigorously designing and overseeing manufacturing some radios for Sangean in the past. The quality and care that Sangean takes and the quality they put into their receivers, has surpassed any other consumer portable manufacture to date. The ATS-405 is no exception.

The circuitry and engineering put into the Sangen ATS-405, uses timeless reliable solid state integration and design, that Sangean does so well. With stable microprocessors, integrated LCD display and excellent circuitry throughout, it's hard to find a portable with so much quality and features in such a small case. Filtering used in this receiver is the same as all Sangean products. The same basic filters used in the 909, are used in this 405, making selectivity on-par with their top of the line models.
