UltraRouter - Multi-Function Wireless Router

The UltraRouter - High Speed Wireless Router is a multi-function, high speed wireless router platform, compatible with 802.11B/G/N communication standards and allowing throughput speeds up to 150Mbps. This device can be used in a multitude of different applications, including SOHO (small home/office), public access point or WISP (Wireless Internet Service Provider) networks

In AP mode, the UltraRouter can act as a standard NAT-enabled wireless router, providing long range wireless connectivity to multiple clients, allowing high speed internet throughput, excellent for streaming video, data uploads, blazing fast file transfers and any application that requires a solid, high speed connection. This is the default mode and requires no configuration to install. Simply connect the UltraRouter to any cable, DSL, fiber or satellite modem with the included Ethernet cable and you are ready to share high speed internet with any laptop, desktop, wifi-enabled smartphone or tablet. The UltraRouter is compatible with all standard security features, you can ensure your data and connections are safe from any outside intrusion.

In Station mode, the UltraRouter- High Speed Wireless Router is a full range wireless client or "ethernet converter". This function allows you to take advantage of the UltraRouter's long range receiver by utilizing the site survey tool and connect to any wireless network to distribute internet connectivity to multiple, short range devices. Connect the UltraRouter to an additional access point or secondary wireless router, you can create a high power repeater station to extend the range of any Wifi network.

The UltraRouter also supports WDS (wireless distribution system) to allow clandestine, MAC-enabled bridging between multiple UltraRouter units. This protocol, available in AP or Station mode, can provide connectivity, wirelessly, to up to 6 UltraRouters for a point-to-point or point-to-multipoint system. Combine the UltraRouter units with high gain omni or uni-directional antennas and create a long range wireless bridge capable of multiple mile high speed links.

Additional functions including "Channel Shifting" a proprietary frequency offset technology that allows the UltraRouter to communicate on intermediate frequencies between the 11 standardized wifi channels. This allows completely undetectable networking, ensuring no unauthorized access to your LAN or internet connection, when used in conjunction with the standard wireless security options. This function can be used with other UltraRouter units and other compatible units, such as the GS2400 High Power Wireless Solution or Bullet High Speed Wireless Platform. AirMax, another proprietary communication technique, provides data packet prioritization for increased VOIP and streaming stability. This packet prioritization minimizes chatter on VOIP connections (i.e. Skype, Vonage) and provides smooth, noise-free video streaming.
