    Recently I purchased two NetGear routers. The radios failed in both routers shortly after the warranty expired.

    I then searched for a router which was not made in China. I came across Radio Labs and purchased one of their routers. Set up was seamless and the range is phenomenal. I had a minor problem with connectivity after about six months which I ultimately determined was related to my ISP, and not my router. Radio Lab’s tech support resolved the ISP’s problem for me.

    I highly recommend this product.

    Review of RadioLabs O2Air-AC Router

    With the failure of our consumer grade routers that were unreliable it was decided to replace them with the RadioLabs O2Air-AC. Our internet is bridged with the RadioLabs GS-5800 so it was reasonable to replace the network routers with a RadioLabs product.

    The O2Air-AC was selected because of its design and flexibility in its configuration and abilities. For example we needed a guest network and wanted to isolate our guests to just WAN and this router can do that among many other configurations.

    Our site originally had 5 consumer wi-if routers and various switches throughout the property all hardwired; 5 seems excessive, however because the buildings have metal exteriors Wi-Fi signal disruption is rampant, so strategically placing multiple wi-if routers was required. I initially replaced the 5 existing routers with 3 O2Air routers and thought that would be sufficient. While I found that they alone did a great job, there were dead spots due to the metal construction so I purchased two more for a total of 5 O2Air routers. So far no regrets.

    One amazing feature of the O2Air is that lan port 1 accepts 24v POE so I also purchased the RadioLabs 24v POE for each router. This changed the entire landscape. No longer was I limited by the power cord. I could now place the router in the optimal location for optimal Wi-Fi signal coverage with just a network cable providing POE; walls ceiling, other side of the room, etc … I am no longer limited by the power cord or any flat surface. It is a much cleaner look as well having the POE.

    Configuration of the router was easy and intuitive if you have some network knowledge. RadioLabs performed the initial configuration for the initial 3 routers and I fine tuned them and configured the remaining 2. Once configured it was pretty much plug and play, shutdown and removed the old consumer routers and replaced them with the O2Air and everything worked !!!

    RadioLabs support has been amazing. I did have one router where the 5G band was flapping and they helped fine tune things; it was a channel conflict with the GS-5800 and beam-forwarding was getting confused because of the metal buildings causing signal distortion. They also checked in on us periodically to see how things are going. I feel that RadioLabs stands by their products and are a partner for life.

    My network is now fast and stable. I went from a ping delay of 70+ms to 17ms and from having to reboot the consumer grade equipment every week to rock solid. This experience has allowed me to reflect on my network architecture and how to even better improve things. Next is to update my internet source equipment and update my site wiring.

    No more consumer grade equipment anymore. The O2Air combined with the 24v POE is professional grade technology at an affordable price.
